As a company, we take our responsibilities to our clients, and our environment, very seriously.
We love animals, despise any sort of testing on animals, and proudly display the ‘bunny ear logo’ by becoming PETA/vegan approved. Our products have been awarded the prestigious blue badge from SAFE, after being deemed SAFE to use and, again, not tested on animals.
We use responsibly sourced raw ingredients in the aim to minimise the effect on the world’s rainforests and their inhabitants. A couple ingredients that are important to use, but not found in nature, are called ‘nature identical’ (eg: Tocopherol/Vitamin E), but are rated harmless/non-toxic by EWG standards.
Our products include many certified organic ingredients, whilst others are organic &/or plant-based/natural. We have chosen not to pursue certification itself to enable us to keep costs down for you – our customer.
We have decreased our previous plastic usage by up to 50% by using glass pots with lids for all our moisturisers, in the aim to have minimal impact on our Oceans. We recycle all materials we use where possible - this is a passion for us here at True Botanix. As the saying goes, “There is no Planet B”.

Teena Cooke
All formulas have been created by Teena Cooke, a qualified Cosmetic Chemist/Formulator (IPCS), Beautician/Aesthetician (NZQA/CIBTAC) and Hairdresser (TradeCert).
She suffered from chemical ‘overload’ at 30yrs old, so took many years studying the healing powers of botanicals/herbs, establishing a healthy plant-based diet and wellbeing lifestyle.
Her first skincare brand, ‘Tease Botanix’ sold via Beauty Therapists and online, was reformulated and expanded upon during 2018, and rebranded in 2019. True Botanix skincare is a reflection of all that has been learnt the past 20 years.
